The University of Basra announced the conversion of daily employees within the various self-financing accounts and lecturers into ministerial contracts in accordance with the directives of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, said that "the daily wage workers within the various self-financing accounts, which number (688) employees from various faculties of the university were converted into ministerial contracts in accordance with the decisions (315 and 337) issued by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers" under the university order No. 7/9/6624 on 14/4/2020.
