Promote a public pledge

Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all

(Activities of 2022)

Promote a public pledge toward 100% renewable energy.

As far as we know, our university is the first governorate organization in the city of Basrah that started using renewable energy sources. UOB has started the project of building a green faculty with renewable energy sources like solar systems, and biodiesels since 2018. Using renewable energy sources in Basrah province is very rare, even by the Basrah electricity department, so UOB encourages other organizations and citizens to use those sources through workshops, conferences, and other kinds of meetings.
