Due to the urgent need for continuous disinfection at the entrances to the university, especially the central laboratory at the College of Pharmacy, which was used to produce the innovative carrier medium for Covid-19 Virus at the University of Basrah, and due to close the borders and the lack of any possibility of importation and a comprehensive ban, our cadres were able to design a disinfection device at the main entrance to the central laboratory with a simple design to pass that stage.

at the university of Basrah, after the success and operation of the fumigation devices  at the begening of  the pandemic, the University of Basra provided the hospitals at the Basrah province with fumigation devices for ambulances disinfection in cooperation with the engineering companies in the province, as well as providing them with Fumigation/Disinfection solutions, which are produced by the University of Basrah. Basrah province, like all other provinces of Iraq, faced fears regarding about its hospitals would not be able to receive the huge numbers of patients infected with the Coronavirus, especially with the closure of the borders of Iraq. The University of Basrah, with the capabilities of its cadres, took the initiative to manufacture respirators with international specifications and an oxygen dispensing device to provide an integrated solution to provide clean and saturated air for patients with the dreaded epidemic in record time.
