The University of Basrah founded the career and development center (CDC) in 2014, the university recognized most of the local stakeholders, local and regional companies, local government, local private, and local civil society representatives. ENGINEERS OF HOPE
Engineers of Hope Organization is a voluntary team that includes a group of students from the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, interested in helping orphans, the elderly families.
STEP of HOPE ORGANIZATION
Step of Hope Organization is a voluntary team that includes a group of students from the Faculty of Medicine in coordination and cooperation with other organizational teams within the neighboring faculties. They care about providing health and eco-awareness to other students.
TASNEEM SCOUT ORGANIZATION
Tasneem Scout Organization was established in 2018, completely independent and non-political, aims to build a righteous voluntary awareness generation and develop talents. It has multiple activities in the educational aspect, development, scouting, humanitarian, relief, and the environment. It includes a group of university youth from various faculties.
TEAM S2
A volunteer team under the goal of providing electronic security and raising awareness among Internet users after the Internet became an unsafe environment due to the lack of electronic awareness. The team was founded in 2019 by a group of students who insisted on change and made a great effort to protect people online and teach them all the advantages and disadvantages of the Internet in the simplest form.
SHANASHEEL TEAM
A group of creative young men and women. The team numbered 75 artists in various fields. Painters, calligraphers, and handicraft owners. The team was founded in 2018. they participated in many exhibitions and festivals, and also organized many exhibitions
IFMSA-IRAQ
It is a non-governmental organization representing Iraqi medical students in the International Federation of Medical Students Associations that provide the awareness of health and ecology to others.
ZMC Volunteer Team
ZMC Volunteer Team was established in the year 1/3/2019 at Al-Zahra College of Medicine in Basraا Governorate. The volunteer team consists of first and second-stage students at Al-Zahra College of Medicine. The number of volunteers is 63 volunteers from all governorates of Iraq.
Objectives:
1_ Healthy tent work program and food.
2_ Medical teams to visit remote and poor areas in Basraا Governorate.
3_ Coordination with medical consultants to receive the patients of the families of the martyrs in their clinics for free.
4_ Establishing charitable bazaars and markets, and the proceeds of the funds are to support the poor in the governorate.
5_ Establishing health awareness activities in schools and private orphanages in Basra Governorate.

Project to train Prisoners
The project to rehabilitate and train prisoners is a project of the University of Basrah that cooperated with the Ministry of Justice to train prisoners and integrate them into society.

In the presence of the local and central governments, the crisis cell at University of Basrah holds its press conference to announce the second phase of its scientific achievements for health solutions to face the repercussions of the Corona crisis.

The third version of the “Smile of a Child” project is on the gardens of Al Farahidi Street, in the presence of a large number of intellectuals, families, and civil society organizations.

Involvement of the University of Basrah with The Iraqi Red Crescent Society carried out training workshops on disaster management on how to evaluate the performance of work related to disasters and the negatives facing work and develop solutions to reduce them.

A symposium held at the Cultural Center of the University of Basrah in cooperation with the Basra Police Command on societal security is a step towards change and domestic violence as a model.

The Basra Gas Company and the University of Basrah signed a joint cooperation mechanism to contribute to the development of the educational sector and the strengthening of local capabilities.

Iraq Ports is discussing with the Center for Studies of Basrah and the Arabian Gulf At the University of Basrah the establishment of an expanded conference to study the implementation of a river dam on the Shatt al-Arab.
