University of Basrah works towards the principles and commitments of combating crime, corruption, and bribery. Our university’s faculty and staff are in compliance with the State Employee Discipline Law, Iraq's Penal Code, Integrity Commission Law, Law of The Federal Board of Supreme Audit, and other relevant laws and regulations to fight against crime, corruption, and bribery. These laws and regulations aim to achieve an honest, efficient campus with characteristics of being ‘clean, open, efficient, and of high quality. Through administrative transparency measures, our university provides channels for public supervision of government administration to demonstrate the integrity of civil servants and improve administrative efficiency.

Dr. Muhammad Ali Abd al-Ridha Aflouk, the dean of the College of Law at our University, has published a book entitled " Preventive Criminalization between Theory and Practice ".
The book consisted of (133) pages located in two chapters. The first chapter dealt with the definition of preventive criminalization, while the second chapter included the philosophical basis of preventive criminalization, its elements and applications.
