The University of Basrah ranked first among all Iraqi universities in the British Times Sustainability impact for the year 2021. The results shown by the official website of the Times Impact were outstanding for the University of Basrah, which keep its lead at the forefront of Iraqi universities for the second year in a row, followed by the University of Babylon and the University of Baghdad respectively. It is noteworthy that the Times Impact for sustainability is a global ranking for achieving seventeen goals considered in the sustainability goals of the United Nations Organization. University of Basrah has achieved advanced positions in four goals, which are: responsible production and consumption, quality of education, clean water and sterilization, and partnerships to achieve sustainability goals.
