The Ninth Scientific Conference of Legal Guarantees for Sustainable Development

The College of Law of the University of Basrah, in cooperation with Shatt Al-Arab University College, organized the ninth scientific conference of legal guarantees for sustainable development. The conference discussed a group of local and international research that focused on legislative treatments for the issue of sustainable development, which included basic recommendations to the concerned authorities to adopt the issue and organize it legislatively. The researchers stated that sustainable development takes into account the social and environmental dimensions, as well as the economic dimensions for the proper exploitation of available resources to meet the needs of individuals while preserving the right of future generations, and sustainable development in general, requires improving living conditions for all individuals without increasing the use of natural resources beyond the planet's endurance, and sustainable development takes place in three main areas: economic growth Conservation of natural resources, the environment, and social development.
